A couple bathes in parallel tubs. Although
a scene of intimacy is suggested, it never
fully unfolds. Throughout the piece, the
figures exchange positions; first two
women are seen, then a man and a
woman, then two men. The figures's
actions mirror each other as they
exchange positions, displacing each other
as water is displaced when one is sub-
merged in a tub. Through these
exchanges, the distinctions between one
person and the other lose clarity. Their
uniqueness is obscured through their
relation to each other.
