Following ideas begun in the OVERLAP series, APARTMENT (BERLIN) distorts the video?fs imag- ery engendering a starker, less realistic environ- ment. The whiteness of the architecture con- trasted with the sky?fs blankness as seen through the window, the minimally decorated interior, and the many instances of an identical figure contribute to the strangeness of the artificial environment, hermetically cut-off from the outside world.
